haay..ganito kc yan...mgfocus ka muna sa dalawang scale para di ka malito...first ung major scale (fundamental scale) ...at tsaka ung pentatonic scale...kc 90% naman ng adlib ng popular songs ay naka base sa major scale at pentatonic scale...wag ka muna mgfocus sa ibang scale like melodic minor scale, harmonic minor scale etc ..at tsaka sa mga guitar modes (ionian,phyrgian,aeolian,mxyloadian.lydian,dorian etc.).dapat mgsimula ka muna sa basic....but before mo muna magamit yung scale nato (major scale at pentatonic scale) para maging adlib, dpat kabisaduhin mo muna ung limang position nya..tpos try to link the 5 postion meaning i-try mo na idugtung ung limang postion..example ung 1st postion ay idugtung mo sa 2nd position to 3rd..etc...dapat alam mo rin kung ano ang mga nota na nandun sa scale hindi lang sa menimorize mo lang ang ang kanyang positioning..example sa G major scale,dapat alam mo na ang mga nota na nakapaloob sa G major scale is G-Am-c-d-Em-F#m7b5....


ITO ANG MGA WAYS KUNG PAANO PRAKTISIN ANG SCALE: Five Stage Scale Practice Routine
Stage 1. Up And Down
The first stage should be to be able to "cycle" the scale. That is to play it up and down over and over without stopping. This should be done with a metronome to be sure that the timing is even. Try also to focus on the volume of the notes that you play and try to keep it consistent. Be able to play the scale 4 times perfectly, without stopping before you move on.
Stage 2. Random Direction Changes
Once you can cycle the scale it is time to start changing direction at random. Start this slower than your speed for stage 1 and make sure that you play continuously. Don't pause, stop or start soloing (going off on one...). Try and stick to it being scalular (don't skip notes).
Stage 3. Random Notes
Now it is time to explore the scale. Play random notes from the scale, be very careful to ONLY play notes from the scale. Play it slowly and get it right. It is easy to rush this one and make mistakes. DON'T MAKE MISTAKES. Ever. There is no point in practicing the wrong thing. Keep the notes evenly timed, explore skipping strings, jumping from very low to very high, generally explore the scale. You will find that this really tests your knowledge of the scale shape.
Stage 4. Play in 3rd's
As you may know, chords are built up in intervals of a 3rd. This means that by playing notes that are a 3rd apart they will tend to sound good together. Often melodies use chord tones, so after some time practicing this pattern, your improvising should start sounding more melodic. You can think of 3rds as playing a note, then missing the next scale step and playing the next. Then go back to the note you missed, and go up a third again (skip a note...). They are a great exercise and I would highly recommend spending a good amount of time on this exercise and getting it really solid, so that it will come out naturally, without you having to think about it.
Stage 5. Four In A Line
Another good pattern to get down is called four in a line. Start on the first note of the scale and play up four notes. Then start on the second note and play up four notes again. Continue this pattern up the scale and then back down. This is a good way of developing a "way out" of a scale, because you are playing four notes of a scale and then skipping.

Kung titingnan mo,ang mga nota na ginamit sa intro ng stars ay nasa ika limang postion ng G major scale na makikita mo sa video( 5 position of major scale)....isa yang sa mga example kung pano ginamit ng gitarista ng calality ang ika 5 postion ng G major scale para maging lead(intro)...gets mo? ...depende kc yan kung paano mo I approach ang chords para gawan mo ng adlib...

Another example: solo of bakit ba ( siakol)- dun sa adlib nya, one of the classic basic example kung paano pinagdugtong ang 2nd postion at 3rd position ng G major scale kung saan nakagawa cxa ng adlib....(di q ma paste ang tab dito kc mdu mataas.. )..ito ang inaxample q para matuto ka muna ng basic para ms maintindihan mo...kung gus2 mo ng emo/screamo,metal,punkrock,reggae na sounds,try mo pag-aralan ang mga adlib nila,makikita mo na ang adlib nila ay nandun lang sa scale...



Rules: When soloing and improvising it is absolutely critical to thoroughly examine and analyze the chords and chord changes that you are playing over. The chords will provide the "road map" for what lines, scales, modes, and arpeggios you will want to utilize as well as point to the strong notes to land on and emphasize.. Without examining the cluster of chords you wont have all the needed information to know what you can fully utilize lead playing wise.


1. gagamit ka ng major scale o major pentatonic scale pag ang unang chord nya is a major chord o nandun cxa sa major key..PAG MINOR CHORD ANG UNA o nandun cxa minor ,ggamit ka ng minor pentatonic o minor scale..etc...

example: pag ang chord progression na ginamit mo ay G-D-em-c (Like sa intro sa stars)...sa chords na ito ay pwde mong gamitin ang g major scale sa lahat ng chords na G-D-em-c kc ang G-D-em-c na chords ay nasa key of G whcih is G-Am-c-d-Em-F#m7b5....tingnan mo ang G-d-Em –C ay nandun sa G MAJOR SCALE....GETS?....another approach din para magsolo sa chords na to is to take each chord as a separate event which is mdu mahirap...example sa chords PA RIN na G-D-em-C..instead na gamitin mo ang G MAJOR SCALE SA lahat ng chords (G-D-em-C),ang each is chord is i- take mo na separate event cxa...example sa chord na G( Pwede mong gamitin ang G major scale,G Major pentatonic, o ang mga major modes,G Appregio)..din pagdating sa D chord(pwde mong gamitin ang Dmajor scale,d major penta,d major modes,d appregio) ..pagdating sa Em( u can use Em pentatonic,Em blues, em dorian Em Aeolian,etc)..pagdating sa c( u can use c major scale,etc.)...hope u get the idea........


2. ano ba ang eemphasize na note pag nag aadlib ka sa chords na G-D-Em -c..?....granting ang ginamit natin na approach is ung 1st approach which is scales that relates to all..meaning titngnan mo lang kung anung key cxa..example kung nasa key og G cxa..G major scale ang gamitin natin....hindi ung approach na take chord as a separate event....
sagot.... When changing to the G try landing on the G, Bm, or D notes to make a big solo statement. (doon ka dapat mg land kc un ang mga nota na ngbubuo ng chords na G o yun ang chord tones nya).. The next time around the progression at the change try landing on a different note - maybe first time try landing on the Bm note and then second time around try landing on the D note when the change goes to the G chord - listen to how strong those chord tones are and time to hit the note right when the chord changes. Then try landing on one of the D chord tones when changing to that chord. Then try landing on one of the Em chord tones when changing to that chord! Then try landing on one of the C chord tones when changing to that chord Try it and really listen to the chord changes underneath so you can time you change exactly and make a bold solo statement..

xur..i already add u..the pic in the headshot section is obviously not mine..that guy in the pic is the controversial ex.comelec comissioner garcilano of the phils...my pic is in the evilchrist pic section....why evilchrist?....i think i already answered it in the past..just check the typecast music..it is located in evilchrist music....i think the answer is there......anyway my fingers too are sensitive..but if you practice some finger exercise (finger gym,spider exercise.etc..)..it can help to make your finger stronger,can help to build your dexterity...etc....
